From ancient times to this day, pandas are considered a symbol of peace. This is not only because of their amusing coloration and friendly look: while they belong to an order of predators, pandas are still vegetarians. In China, killing a panda is punishable by death. Today there are no more than 1500 pandas living in the wild, but doctors and scientists are battling for the life of each black-and-white bear born in captivity. To emphasize that each panda is of paramount value, the artisans have inlaid a diamond filament in the outline of the card.
