“Man cannot understand the secret and inscrutable. All that he understands is quite superficial.” Tsunetomo Yamamoto, Hagakure
The famous samurai Watanabe no Tsuna encountered a beautiful girl on a bridge near the Rashomon gate. His conversation with the beautiful girl almost made the warrior forget about the ominous reputation of the majestic gate, which had become an abode of demons. But, suddenly glancing at the water, Watanabe no Tsuna saw the true face of his conversation partner: In the peaceful waters of the river he saw the reflection of a demon. When their eyes met, the demon attacked the samurai. Watanabe no Tsuna drew his sword and cut off the demon’s three-fingered hand. With an eerie howl the demon disappeared, never to return to the gate of Rashomon. The “Tamer of Demons” tsuba will help its owner to penetrate into the essence of things.
